CAPTURING LIGHT
The way we examine light is how it is perceived into our brains tunneling through our eyes. It is stunning to think about what light does to our brain. It can absorb, reflect, brighten or blind our sight.

The pieces I made are bringing reflection into an understandable method. The light hits a surface and by changing the source of light the reflection will have effect to the space. The light reflection is turning into an image that will projected onto the walls. Celebrating the reflective qualities is what I tried to captured into these pieces.
HARDCORE EXHIBITION

TREND REFLECTIONS
The Reflections trend embraces curves, ribbed textures, and light-reflecting materials, creating a fluid, human-friendly interior inspired by the 1980s. Geometric floors and bold cobalt blue add depth and structure. Meanwhile, the HARDCORE exhibition (2017) explored a return to elemental aesthetics, focusing on physically heavy yet digitally light objects. Reflective, a project by Nick Beens Studio, was part of this exhibition and later featured in Trend Reflections by Trend Compass. Both trends emphasize a more tactile, lasting, and grounded approach to modern living. Read more about this in Trend Compass.
