Each FOUR CANDLELABRA is crafted from carefully selected solid ash wood, chosen for its strength and lively grain. The candle holder consists of four individual blocks that are precisely joined into one continuous form. When arranging the blocks, the grain direction creates a subtle zigzag pattern, seen from the top view. While the equal spacing between the candles reinforces the calm rhythm of the design.

The surface is finished by hand with natural linseed oil pigments from Linolie.dk. The oil penetrates the wood fibers rather than forming a thick layer, enhancing the grain and giving the ash a soft matte finish that will age beautifully over time. You can order in a selection of colors or color blocking.
FOUR plays with a subtle sense of rhythm and playful variation in height. As the candles burn down week by week, the composition slowly shifts, echoing the Advent tradition in an unexpected and slightly mischievous way. The equal spacing between the candles keeps the object calm and balanced while the changing heights create a living rhythm of light.
The photographs of FOUR CANDLELABRA were taken during a winter week in the dunes of Denmark, a landscape that has long inspired me and continues to do so. The rolling dunes, shifting light and open horizon create a quiet, almost mystical atmosphere. Within this setting, the calm geometry of the candle holder contrasts with the organic landscape, while the warm tones of the linseed oil pigments bring warmth to the cool colours of sand and sky.
